Thank you for your interest in Seattle Girls' School (SGS). SGS is committed to building a community of
students, faculty, and families that represent the full diversity of the Seattle area. The school culture is
one where girls from different racial, ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds and family configurations will learn
and grow alongside each other, respecting and building understanding for the complexities of living in our diverse world. The admissions process is a mutual exchange of information between SGS and the prospective family. We hope to provide you with as much information as possible about our School so that you may decide if we are a good fit for your family. In addition to information in our printed materials and on our Web site, we offer weekday tours from October through February, as well as two weekend Open Houses. Available Entry Places Currently, our major "points of entry" into the school are 5th and 6th grades. Placements in 7th or 8th grade are only available when vacancies by current students occur. We may consider mid-year applications if space is available. Confidentiality All materials sent to SGS in support of an application for admission are confidential. Non-Discrimination Seattle Girls' School admits students from any race, religion, national or ethnic origin, or family composition to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Seattle Girls' School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or family composition in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. |
