Learning

Athletics

The mission of the SGS Athletic program is to promote a healthy relationship between a girl and her body.

We do this by:

  • Building/developing sport specific skills
  • Focusing on teamwork, school spirit and healthy competition
  • Educating girls on nutrition, health and positive self-image

The Seattle Girls' School Athletics Program gives students the opportunity to participate in various sports through the year, including Cross Country (fall, grades 5-8), Soccer (fall, grades 6-8), Snowboarding/Skiing (winter, grades 6-8), Basketball (winter, grades 6-8 and spring, 5th grade), and Ultimate Frisbee (spring, grades 5-8).

Year-round sports are Skateboarding (grades 5-8) and Rock Climbing (grades 5-8).

Practices are held after school, and game times and locations vary by season.
