SGS was founded by a group of committed Seattle residents who believe that girls' education is important and significantly improved
when approached with the knowledge and understanding of what helps girls learn and thrive in any setting. For their own
children, and for everyone else's, the founders felt Seattle needed a place specifically designed for the way girls think and
learn. The founders are committed to developing SGS as a model, a training facility, and an educational resource that
collaborates with others throughout the metropolitan area to empower middle school girls. SGS is made up of faculty, students, parents, staff, Trustees, Advisors, and we are all part of the greater community around us. For this reason we hope to work actively within and among our communities to actively involve and be involved with each other. SGS encourages parental involvement. Our parents are encouraged to become partners with SGS in the support of their daughters' educational experience. SGS is a community committed to: Family support in the form of donations, volunteer work, or in-kind contributions will always be necessary at levels parents and families can stretch themselves to give. |
