Robotix

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to build a rover for Mars exploration.

Using one complete robotix kit, with your partner design a rover that can drive across terrain, pick up and store two rock samples and then return to its original position.

Practice driving your robot and picking up different rock samples. Remember, you are in training for a mission to Mars!

For homework:

1. Describe the master design behind your robot. What is its best feature or innovation?
2. What aspect of creating your robot was most challenging and why?
3. Then do a little research. Find out about the rovers Spirit and Opportunity. What instruments to they have? What experiments can they conduct?

For extra credit: Expand your research to include Pathfinder. In what way are Spirit and Opportunity improvements on Pathfinder?
