Families

SGS Parents

SGS welcomes and supports parental involvement, and encourages parents to partner with SGS in support of their daughter's educational experience.

Parents participate in school life in many significant ways, including coaching sports, teaching internships, chaperoning off-site experiences, helping with fund development efforts, and much more. With that said, we recognize that families have many commitments, so we do not require a certain number of volunteer hours.

All SGS parents are members of the Community Association of Parents (CAP). CAP plays a fundamental role in the life of SGS by coordinating a variety of community-building activities, including the SGS Back-to-School Picnic, 100th Day of School Social, Pi Day, and Teacher Appreciation activities. CAP also produces the monthly newsletter PaperCut, which keeps families informed of upcoming events.

If you are a current SGS parent, please access the school calendar, grade-level sites, and other information through Sgoodle. You may also access narratives and update your family's contact information through ORCAS.
