Marja Brandon Selected One of 2006 Women of Influence

Seattle, WA - The Puget Sound Business Journal has named Marja Brandon, Head of Seattle Girls' School, as one of its 2006 Women of Influence honorees.

Now in its third year, the award program shines the spotlight on local businesswomen, community leaders and philanthropists who play an integral role in the Seattle community. "We are delighted that Marja has been recognized with this well-deserved award," said Sonia Doughty, Director of Development. "She is an inspiration to everyone at our school and in our community as a whole."

A panel of distinguished judges reviewed hundreds of nominations to come up with the top 20 women leaders. Each winner was described as a woman who possesses the authority and power to "move the needle" in business and industry, while working for the good of her institution, the community and mentoring other women to become leaders.

Along with Brandon, the following Women of Influence were selected:
