This year's Sixth Annual Grace Hopper Awards Luncheon on April 17th, 2008, was a huge success! Our final donation total was $325,609 and donations are still coming in! All proceeds from this event, which honored Dr. P. Dee Boersma and Dr. Karen Morse for their contributions to research and leadership in science, will go to funding Seattle Girls' School need-based financial aid program.
We would like to recognize our student and alumna speakers and presenters, Katherine, Ezana, Nia, Kendal, Anja, and Sydney, as well as our parent and partner speakers, Camille Campbell and Peggy Gilmer, for their inspiring contributions to the Grace Hopper Awards Luncheon program this year. Thank you so much to our generous friends and supporters who continue to help make SGS's ambitious mission a reality for so many exceptional young girls!
