About

Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to Seattle Girls' School and thank you for your interest.

Since the inception of our inaugural class in 2001, we have fostered the next generation of women leaders through a challenging and unique curriculum designed by a creative and caring faculty and staff. From the outset, we have been dedicated to creating a school that reflects the diverse community of the Central District where we are located, as well as developing a learning environment open to all voices.

We believe our school is not only distinct in its mission and innovative in its design, but also offers girls a chance to gain confidence, test their ideas, and ignite a life-long desire to learn and be agents of change.

I am inspired daily by how passionately our students engage in their own learning as well as the world around them. Because our students are challenged to speak out against injustice, think critically, and be solution-oriented, I am filled with hope for our future in their hands. I invite you to come see, hear, and feel SGS in action and witness the power of their imagination, creation, and actualization.

Again, thank you for your interest and feel free to contact us to learn more about our school, students, and mission.

Sincerely,

Marja Brandon
Head of School
