Entry

The exterior space of the new building includes a feature set of stairs along with an ADA path the leads to the main entry and courtyard bridge. The courtyard is fully secure behind fencing and consists of a paved area, along with an ample bike storage space. Our students commute to SGS by mass transit, carpools, bike and "walking busses". We pride ourselves at SGS as being the neighborhood independent school.

For the lobby we wanted to have an area where families and guests can come in and instantly be a part of our community. The new lobby space provides a welcoming experience as one enters the SGS campus. The design influences were inspired by our student body ensuring that the lobby provides ample seating for visitors, nooks for students during free time to gather for reading, and room for two receptionists to manage the needs of guests and students and a secure vestibule/entry. It is also where our interactive donor celebration wall is located.
