Student Life Overview

Leadership Beyond the Classroom

At SGS, academic classes are just one piece of a bigger student experience. Around every corner, students have ample opportunities to practice leadership–in their own unique way. From leading an Affinity Group to being a Student Ambassador to stand-and-deliver moments at our bi-weekly student assemblies, we give students agency to lead in ways that work for them.

Leadership opportunities include:
-Student Ambassadors
-Affinity Group & Student Club Leads
-Learning Team Meetings (student-led conferences with adults and teachers)
-Community Meetings (bi-weekly student assemblies)
-Annual Luncheon
-Student Council
