SGS MENTOR PROGRAM
Welcome to the Seattle Girls’ School Mentor Program!
Do you remember your middle-school experience? Who was the most influential person in your life? Looking back, do you ever wish you had someone, outside of your family and friends, to talk to, to encourage you, or maybe to open your mind to possibilities you may not have considered? As the Mentor Coordinator at Seattle Girls’ School, I’d like to invite you to consider being this person for one of our students!
The goal of the Mentor Program is to make our students “strong from the inside out” by building a community around each student during the transformative time of middle school. We are looking for a diverse group of women or non-binary mentors to match with our incoming fifth and sixth graders. We welcome mentors from any race, religion, sexual orientation, and national or ethnic origin, as we aim to match students with adults who share these identities with them.
The unique experiences and insights that each student will gain by having a mentor will enhance her education at SGS and be a rewarding growth experience for each mentor as well.
Please see our application below to become a SGS mentor.
