2026 Summer Camps

  • Beginner Volleyball Camp (3rd-5th Grade) | Aug 3-7

    Learn fundamental skills of volleyball in a fun and engaging environment. This is a camp suitable for all students new to volleyball. We will introduce all the basic skills and movements. Using modified rules games and challenge-by-choice scenarios, we will introduce game-like play. After this camp you will be able to continue to practice skills at home.

    Who can attend?
    Girls, regardless of their gender assigned at birth, and gender expansive students who were assigned female at birth.
     
    Students should be entering 3rd-5th grades.

    9am-12pm

    Cost:
    The cost for Volleyball camp is $225 per student.
     
    Limited financial aid is available, with a non-refundable $15 application fee

    Please notify the Program Coordinator at programs@sgs-wa.org if you need to cancel your registration.  Cancellation on or before June 15 will be fully refunded minus a $15 administrative fee per participant.  Cancellation between June 15 and July 15 will result in a 50% refund.  Cancellation after July 15 will be non-refundable.

  • SGS Rock Camp (6th-8th Grade) | Aug 3-7

    Do you like artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Chappel Roan, Joan Jet, Queen, and ACDC? SGS Rock Camp is the place for you! Students will have the opportunity to learn instruments like electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and drum kit! We also need some singers to lead the ensemble. All voice types are welcome. (soprano, alto, tenor). Rock Camp will play a mix of current pop-rock songs and essential classics. Students will explore the history of rock music and its influence, learn basic music theory, have an introduction to songwriting, and hear from guest lecturers. Middle School students are welcomed and encouraged to join this high-energy, supportive, and fun-filled band!

    Girls, regardless of their gender assigned at birth, and gender expansive students who were assigned female at birth. 
     
    Students should be entering 6th-8th grades.
     
    Prior music experience is preferred (one year on an instrument, work in an ensemble, or a prior music class), but not required.

  • Beginner/Intermediate Volleyball Camp (6th-8th Grade) | Aug 3-7

    Players new to volleyball and those that have some exposure are welcome to learn and practice their skills in a fun and engaging environment. New players will learn the basics and intermediate players will get instruction to improve their current skills and learn some advanced skills as they progress.

    Students should be entering 6th-8th grades.

  • STEAM Camp (3rd-5th Grade) | Aug 10-14

    STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM Camp is a week of scientific investigations, games, crafty projects, and fun! Past sessions have included: Bioengineering Fun, SteamPunk Pinwheels, Innovators and Engineers, Electronic Bugs, Kitchen Science, Electronic Music, Sci-Fi Movie Making, Sweet Sweet Science, Drawville, DIY Photography, Storytelling Art, and Wiggle Bots!

    Who can attend?
    Girls, regardless of their gender assigned at birth, and gender expansive students who were assigned female at birth.
     
    Students should be entering the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades. You’ll be with SGS teachers and counselors (current SGS students and alums).

    Details:
    Aug 10-14, 9am-3pm (Monday-Friday), with a short family culmination at 2:30pm on Friday, 8/14
     
    Morning care 8-9 (Tuesday-Friday)
    After care 3-4 (Monday-Thursday)

    The cost for STEAM camp is $475 per student.

Professional Development Workshops

  • Affinity Group Facilitator Institute | Aug 3


    About:
    A full-day professional learning session for educators and leaders supporting affinity groups. Participants will learn a four-pillar facilitation framework, examine what makes affinity spaces effective, and connect with peers through targeted breakout sessions designed for new facilitators, experienced leaders, and institutional supporters.
