Culminations

What are Culminations?

Culminations are a cornerstone of the SGS experience—joyful, public celebrations of student learning that happen multiple times throughout the year in every grade. During each Culmination, students share the results of their original, multidisciplinary research through presentations, performances, exhibitions, or interactive experiences. These events showcase not just what students have learned, but how they’ve learned—highlighting their curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Culminations invite families, peers, and the wider community to witness learning in action and celebrate the growth of young scholars and changemakers.

Phelana Pang, Assistant Head of School

Our culminations are the ending showcase of students’ learning over many months and across many disciplines. Whether they are answering questions in front of doctors or are arguing a court case in front of real judge or are solving a science mystery or making a pitch of their invention, students are taking their month of research and sharing what they know."
