Yearbook Club has come to an end, and with it students wrapped up a year of great learning about the process of seeing through big projects and making them come to life! This year they took pictures that captured special memories, learned graphic design skills, advocated for their opinions, and solved technical challenges. They worked together and helped each other, and never gave up. Our 8th grade yearbook leaders especially showed great dedication and commitment, and grew so much in their ability to manage projects and lead others.
Last Friday we had a celebration of all of the hard work students have done, and they were beaming with pride. The energy in the room was gleeful, and contagious to anyone who walked by. They’re excited not only about their accomplishments but about sharing their work with classmates, family, and friends when the yearbook is handed out in June. If your student was in Yearbook Club, ask them to tell you about the pages they created (and whether green or purple is a better color).
