7th Grade Science

by Breanna
In 7th grade science we are wrapping up a 4-week long journey diving deep into climate change. We have practiced constructing claim and evidence statements as we analyzed data from climate scientists. Additionally, we have been looking into the causes and impacts that contribute to rising temperatures including an in-depth look at the carbon cycle and greenhouse gas effect. This final week students are researching and presenting on all kinds of exciting and unique climate change solutions such as artificial reefs, seaweed farms, compost as biofuel, solar panels, and lots more!

Our climate change journey extended beyond SGS on our trip to Mount Rainier Institute. We connected our climate science knowledge to the lessons and real world context that this experience provided! Inset: at base camp.
