6th Grade Humanities

by Cody
In humanities we’re taking a trip way way way back in time. Approximately 300,000 years ago the first Homo sapiens appeared in Africa and we’ll be joining them in their journey through time. With the use of geographic tools, collaborative critical thinking, and rigorous reading and research, 6th graders will uncover ancient answers to one of life’s biggest questions, “where did I come from?”  Alongside our exploration of Homo sapien history, students will dive further into the world of words as they study and craft poetry, write letters to present day leaders, and sharpen their vocabulary and sentence construction with in class exercises .
